“Event management is the application of project management to the creation and development of festivals, events and conferences. Event management involves identifying the target audience, devising event concept, planning the logistics and coordinating with technical aspects before actually launching the event.
Broadly event can be classified as corporate events and live entertainment events. Corporate events are commissioned by corporate for specific purpose such as - Doctor conference submit, dealer conferences etc.
Live entertainment events are stage shows or concerts by Indian or International artist. These could be film based, music based, fashion based, sports based or based on any initiatives. Live entertainment event is usually conceptualized, planned and executed by the event manager. Therefore the (IPR) Intellectual property rights also vests with the event manager.
Event management is considered one of the strategic marketing and communication tools by companies of all sizes. From product launches to press conferences, companies create promotional events to help them communicate with clients and potential clients.
